STATEMENT OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCES AND
OTHER INGREDIENTS (INGREDIENTS) Isogold injectable

Each ml contains:
Active substance :
Iron (III) ions in the form of hydroxide.
iron-dextran complex ……………. 100 mg.

Excipients of Isogold injecta:
Sodium methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate ……… ..1.05 mg;
Sodium propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate ……… .016 mg.

INDICATION (INDICATIONS) 
For the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency and anemia caused by iron deficiency.
For the prophylaxis of anemia caused by iron deficiency in piglets.

CONTRAINDICATIONS 
Do not use in the case of animals suffering from an infectious disease, especially diarrhea.
Do not administer to piglets suspected of vitamin E and / or selenium deficiency.
It is not used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
Injection with iron-dextran can in very rare cases cause hypersensitivity or even analytical reactions, which can be severe or fatal in particular situations. In newborn piglets, vitamin E and selenium deficiency is considered as a particular risk factor.
In particular, fatal reactions can sometimes occur in horses.

Frequency of adverse reactions is defined using the following convention :
– Very common (more than 1 in 10 treated animals presenting adverse reactions during treatment);
– Common (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 100 treated animals).
– Less common (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 1,000 treated animals).
– Rare (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 10,000 treated animals).
– Very rare (less than 1 animal in 10,000 treated animals, including isolated reports).

If you notice any side effects, even those not already listed in this leaflet or if you think the medicine has not had any effect, please inform your veterinarian. Alternatively, you can report through the national reporting system.
