Misoprostol addresses both gastric and colonic ulcers by working to protect the stomach lining and also by decreasing stomach acid formation. Misoprostol is one of the only products to actually address colonic (hind end) ulcers. 65% of all performance horses have colonic ulcers. Misoprostol is a synthetic form of a prostaglandin.
